On november 1, 2026 a private jet coming from austin to bahamas crashed midflight claiming the lives of all 9 people who were on board, the plane crashed in Florida.
The plane was a Bombardier Learjet 60 a midsize business jet which departed from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas, heading toward North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas before it crashed at approximately 7:50 p.m. CAT on Military Trail near 10th Avenue North in Greenacres, near West Palm Beach, Florida.
All 9 people on board (passengers and crew) died and their identities have not been yet released by the authorities.

No deaths or serious injuries were reported on the ground, though the fiery impact left a large crater in the road, damaged nearby structures, and forced the temporary evacuation or shelter-in-place of roughly 600 people in a nearby mobile home park.
Before the crash, Air traffic control recordings show the pilot reported encountering “light, clear ice that is manageable” and “moderate turbulence,” requesting a change in altitude. The pilot declared an emergency, reported an overspeed condition, and stated,
“We’re going to crash into the ground” and “We’re out of time”
shortly before radar and contact were lost.
The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) says the jet dropped from about 35,000 feet to 8,750 feet in just over a minute and hit a mobile home area.
The NTSB (National transportation safety board) and FAA are investigating, and no cause has been announced. Storms were in the area, but investigators haven’t said what brought the plane down.
