Dynamic Cultural Group Celebrates Growth and Success After Four Years

The Director of Dynamic Cultural Group, Eddy Uzabakiriho, says the dance and music group has made remarkable progress over the past year, thanks to increased support, better working conditions, and the dedication of its members.

Speaking to Campus Vibes Radio on Sunday, June 7, 2026, Eddy explained that the group has experienced significant growth compared to previous years.

“There are many positive changes compared to last year. We have received support from different people, including Benitha Ishimwe, who continues to advise and encourage us. We also now have a safer place to work than before,” he said.

Founded more than four years ago, Dynamic has grown from only four members to a team of 80 young performers. Eddy acknowledged that retaining members was once a challenge, as some children would leave after receiving training. To address this, he now works closely with parents to ensure better communication and commitment.

“No child is allowed to leave the group without their parents being informed. Parents must always know when such decisions are made,” he explained.

He also revealed that the group currently has savings of RWF 300,000, which reflects their efforts toward financial sustainability.

Among the talented members is Tabitha Faith, a 14-year-old student in Senior Two at GS Nyarufunzo in Mageragere Sector, Nyarugenge District. Known for both her singing and dancing abilities, Tabitha joined Dynamic in 2023 and has spent three years developing her talents within the group.

“Dynamic has played a major role in my life. It helped me gain confidence and showcase my talent,” she said.

Tabitha added that the group has become like a family to her and has enabled her to build strong friendships while participating in major events, including performances organized by the City of Kigali.

Another member, Mugisha Shallom, 18, a Senior Four student at GS Akumunigo TSS in Nyamirambo, praised the group for teaching him the value of teamwork and unity.

“The most important thing I have learned from Dynamic is unity. As artists, we must work together and strive to perform better in a competitive industry,” he said.

Similarly, Hirwa Kevin, 17, a Senior Four MEC student at GS Kimisange in Kigarama Sector, Kicukiro District, said Dynamic has greatly improved his dancing skills and provided him with a supportive community.

“I appreciate the love, cooperation, and family spirit that exists within Dynamic,” he said.

Despite their achievements, members highlighted ongoing challenges, particularly the lack of a permanent rehearsal space and limited dance equipment. They appealed to well-wishers, institutions, and potential partners to support the group by providing a suitable venue and essential resources that would help them continue developing their talents.

With a growing membership, talented performers, and a strong sense of community, Dynamic Cultural Group continues to establish itself as one of the promising youth talent development initiatives in Rwanda.
