2025 Africa Cup of Nations Draw: Group Stage Revealed

The draw for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (CAN), to be held in Morocco, took place on Monday 27 January 2025. This long-awaited moment saw the 24 qualified teams divided into six groups of four, a crucial process for establishing the competition that will kick off next December. 

Morocco, the host country for this year’s tournament, has been placed in Group A because of its status as host, which means that it benefits from a favourable draw. 

Group F is seen as the group of death, with Côte d’Ivoire, the last defending champion, taking on Cameroon and Gabon. Other clashes include Senegal against DR Congo, Tunisia against Nigeria and Morocco VS Mali.

The teams will have to prepare for a tournament that promises to be exceptional, with the presence of many nations with ambitions to win this prestigious trophy. The Can 2025 in Morocco runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
