On February 14, 2025 – EAUR Women’s Volleyball Team secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Kepler in the Volleytines Friday competition at NPC Gymnasium. The thrilling five-set encounter ended with scores of 17-25, 25-18, 22-25, 25-19, and 15-17 in favor of EAUR, marking their third consecutive win.
Speaking after the game, EAUR head coach Abdull credited the team’s success to the addition of a key player and the collective effort of the squad.
“We have won three matches in a row because, in the second leg, we managed to win all our games. One of the factors that contributed to our success is the addition of a new player. However, volleyball is not played by just one person; teamwork is the key.”
Coach Abdull also acknowledged the support from the team’s management, emphasizing their role in strengthening the squad. However, he pointed out challenges, particularly the departure of some of their initial players who moved to rival teams, including Kepler.
“I appreciate the management for their efforts. We made a request, and they responded by reinforcing the team. However, we faced some setbacks as players who started with us moved to teams like Kepler. This is only our second year competing, so we had to rebuild the team. But next season, we aim to perform even better in the league.”
Looking ahead, Coach Abdull set a clear target for EAUR, stating that the team aspires to finish among the top four in the league.
With their current momentum, EAUR is proving to be a formidable contender, and their ambition to establish themselves as a top team in the championship remains strong.
